Who we are

Yadi Volley is a youth volleyball training program with a nonprofit mission, based in Orange County. We’re here to help young athletes grow from the inside out by developing not just their skills on the court, but also the character, discipline, and confidence that carry into every part of life.

Our approach is personal. We offer both individual and group training for athletes ages 10 and up, supporting those who want to become more skilled, push their potential, and grow in a positive, purposeful environment. While our nonprofit arm helps provide access to training and mentorship for those who may not otherwise have the opportunity, our focus remains the same: to build strong athletes and even stronger people, ready for whatever comes next.

Our Philosophy

The heart and soul of any athlete begins at an early age, and Yadi Volley is built on the belief that sports can be a powerful force for lifelong growth. We aim to provide purposeful mentorship and training that empowers each student-athlete to set and achieve goals that will carry them far beyond the game.

Our program is designed to develop more than just athletic ability. Through intentional coaching, we focus on building strong habits and instilling core values—communication, discipline, teamwork, mental resilience, and physical strength. Every training session is an opportunity to grow on the court and off, helping young athletes develop the mindset and character they need to thrive in sport and in life.

Meet YADI

From a young age, our founder Yadi recognized the impact his mentors – family, coaches and teachers – would have on his personal development and achievements. At just 15 years old, the culmination of his grit and hard work earned him a spot on the Cuban Olympic team competing at the highest level on the international stage earning 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal. Yadi continued to dominate globally as he went on to play in various national leagues in Italy, Japan, Argentina, Brazil, U.A.E. and Turkey.

It is with Yadi’s deep appreciation for those who have helped him that drives his affinity for youth sports and quality mentoring. Yadi aspires to share his experience and expertise with local youth to help them strive for excellence in their sport and be exemplary in society. Yadi currently coaches at Mizuno and Rockstar.

What People Are Saying

“Yadi Sanchez is an exceptional world-class volleyball player, coach, and mentor who has had a profound impact on my son's development. He is a true technician, capable of teaching even the smallest details of the game—whether it's passing, hitting, or any other aspect—but what sets him apart is his ability to never lose sight of the bigger picture. His innovative approach to training is both inspiring and effective, consistently delivering results. After training with Yadi over the summer, my son achieved his goal of setting for UCLA and earned his AAA beach rating by improving his hitting skills. Yadi’s methodical and passionate coaching style, combined with his genuine care for children, makes him an incredible advocate for young athletes. He brings out the best in them through his dedication and expertise. I cannot recommend Yadi enough for anyone looking to take their game to the next level!”

— Mike Garcia, Former UCLA Champion & Professional Beach Volleyball Player

"Yadier Sanchez has been an incredible coach and mentor to my daughter Brynne—both as her team trainer and private coach for indoor and beach volleyball. His dedication to his athletes is unmatched. Yadi brings deep technical knowledge, but what truly sets him apart is his ability to connect with young athletes and communicate the game in a way that builds both skill and confidence.

He tailors his coaching to each player, pushing them in a way that strengthens their mental game as much as their physical one. Yadi’s passion, insight, and motivational style have had a lasting impact on Brynne—not just as a volleyball player, but as a competitor. Under his guidance, she has grown stronger, more resilient, and more confident both on and off the court. We’re incredibly grateful to have him in her corner."
